Feedback: I was searching for information about BABESIA canis which is the cause of the recent death of our very dear 16month old Westie, Hamie. We have our second home in the SW of France and took our little lad to holiday there for the first time at Easter. Had I known anything of the horror story of Bridget Andrews he would never have left the UK. Bristol Univ. veterinary DEpt. confirmed the cause of his death which was awful for him to experience having had a wonderful holidy and returning apparently so fit and well to die in less than 48 hours on returning home, 20th April our wedding anniv 30 years. How can I do something so that it does not happen again ? Nobody warned us of this scurge!!! Brian Coleman

That I discovered yuor web-site searching for information on Babesia canis and stumbled on the distressing tale of Beverly Andrews from May2000. Could you possibly send my e-mail address to her in order that I can tell her I am contacing Defra and my local MP with thee intention of getting this parasite well publiscied especially in relation to the "pet passport" scheme.
